The focus of the trade fair: versatile and energy-efficient pump drives for mobile hydraulics

It comes to pass every four years: MINExpo opens its doors. Up to 40,000 trade visitors from around the world come to the trade show in Las Vegas to learn about new trends and products from the approximately 1800 exhibitors. This year, the trade fair once again covers a wide range of topics. On around 74,000 square meters, exhibitors will present their new products in the areas of subsurface and surface mining as well as conveyance technologies, true to the exhibition motto “MINExpo 2016 is all about solutions”. New solutions are expected particularly in the field of mobile hydraulics, with its ever-growing challenges. Therefore, we are particularly pleased that we can present our powerful Stiebel gearbox solutions for specific applications to our guests at booth 28900 / South Hall. These solutions can be used flexibly for a wide variety of applications and make an impression with their impressive performance.

Adaptability in action

For excavators that are medium-sized (greater than about 300 t) or larger, the Stiebel gearbox type 4462 is a powerful solution. The gearbox is connected to the engine (800 kW) via an SAE 0 connector housing, and the possible transmission bandwidth varies between i1= 0.9 and 2. The integrated oil pump and the oil distribution system ensure optimum lubrication as well as cooling of the gearbox and permits work to be performed at inclinations of up to 30° in all directions. A separate oil chamber in the attachment of the hydraulic pumps ensures the operating safety of the hydraulic unit system.

Our single-stage pomp drive type 4382 – part of the P2000 series – makes an impression with its flexibility and offers numerous attachment options. The connection is provides by a SAE housing or a cardan-joint flange. The pump drive with a ratio of i = 0.6572 to 1.5217, is available for an engine output of 530 kW. Another plus: with a weight of 200 kg and block housing, the drive is particularly compact.

Better energy balance during drilling

A special solution is our pump drive type 4652. With its high adaptability it is powerful used for work in track-mounted drilling rigs. The smaller package requires less space for inline applications but provides greater pump centerline distance. The centerline drop input and output provide large oil volume movement as well as the massive housing ribbing generate an improved energy balance. This ensures economic and sustainable operation.

If you want to learn more about these powerful solutions, as well as others, then come visit us. We are looking forward to seeing you from September 26 to 28, 2016 at the MINExpo, booth 28900 in the South Hall.
